We are the Hodgson Family and we have been building our life online since 2015.

But this is not a story about money. Not really.

It is a story about a decision I made standing in the middle of a job that paid well, surrounded by men who had made the same

choice I was about to make, and realizing for the first time that not one of them looked happy about it.

Before any of this I was a blue collar worker in the oilfield. Doing what every middle class kid is told to do. Work hard, buy a house,

take a vacation once a year, and spend the best decades of your life saving for the day you are finally allowed to relax.

I looked around at the men ahead of me on that path.Honest to God they

were not happy enough to inspire me to stay.So I walked.

No blueprint. No one in my family who had done it. Just a decision that the life I was building for myself was not actually mine.

My real goal was simple. Be home with my son. Make decisions without someone else owning my time. Build something that belonged to us.

When I told people I was going to make money online they looked at me the way people look at someone who just said something

embarrassing. "You have a good job. Just stick to it." "That stuff isn't real." "You are going to regret this."

I ignored every single one of them.

Fast forward and we have traveled the world, spoken at events we never expected to be invited to, and built a life in Cabo San Lucas

that still catches me off guard some mornings when I remember where I was standing when I made that decision.

At one point I was making more in a single month than I made in an entire year in the oilfield.

None of that was the goal. The goal was freedom. The money was just proof that the decision was right.

We have spent the last several years helping other people make the same decision. Not the reckless kind.

The informed kind. With a system, a team, and everything we wish we had when we started.
